 Each piece is then clear coated with a catalyzed epoxy lacquer to produce a long wearing protective coating, preserving its beauty. A final painstaking inspection assures that only products which meet our stringent standards leave our factory.  Hardware cast with this much care and thinking isn't made overnight. In fact it was in the 1950s when Friedrich Hoppe first began crafting door and window handles the only way he knew how--the right way. On a foundation of innovation and craftsmanship an entire company was built. One innovation after another--using aluminum materials in door handles, for instance--grew the German HOPPE plant. Today there are 12 HOPPE locations throughout Europe, in Germany, in Italy, in Switzerland and now in the Czech Republic. In 1987 the group called HTL (Hardware Technologies Ltd.) was formed. HTL quickly became the most innovative wholesaler of European door and window hardware in the United States. (We're the people who introduced the United States to the multipoint locking system that sent the imitators into a frenzy.)  |
 But the demand for quality speaks loud and clear; HTL recently built an additional facility to serve you even better. And no sooner had the paint dried than we began plans to build another. On January 1, 2002 HTL changed it's name to HOPPE North America, Inc. This change reflects the efforts of many people to establish the brand name HOPPE in Europe and HTL's own efforts to present the HOPPE name in the North American Fenestration industry. The HOPPE headquarters and warehouses are ideally located in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin--a location we chose for its centralized access to key distribution roads and railways. And its economic sense.
